  • MacBook (Late 2008) or later, excluding the white MacBook (Late 2008)

How to AirDrop from iPhone to Mac

This process is simple and straightforward for anyone to follow.

  • Start by turning on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirDrop on both your iPhone and Mac

On iPhone:

Go to “Settings” > “Wi-Fi”, and turn it on

Go to “Settings” > “Bluetooth”, and enable it

Swipe up on your screen to open control center, tap AirDrop. Choose either ‘Everybody’ or ‘Contacts’ only to render your phone discoverable.

On Mac:

Navigate to the top of the right side of your device, turn Wi-Fi on.

Go to “System Preferences” > “Bluetooth”, and then enable it.

Tap on “Finder” > “AirDrop” > “Allow me to be discovered by”, pick either “Contacts Only” or “Everyone” to make your Mac discoverable.
